NIKKARILA CAMPUS, PIEKSÄMÄKI

The Campus of Forestry, Nikkarila, is located in Pieksämäki. For almost a century, the school has educated the caretakers of Finland`s most important natural resource. We work closely with various employer groups in the forestry industry. In addition to a multilateral forestry expertise, we are leaders in the fields of communication and management.

Graduates in Forestry hold the degree of Bachelor of Natural Resources (240 ECTS; 4 years). They are able to work in the fields of forestry and environmental protection, forest planning, timber procurement and timber trade. Today, emphasis of many-sided tasks of forestry is placed on the information technology, business economics, environmental protection, communication and teamwork. You can also study the degree as adult education.

Partner in further education

We work together with our customers. The educational modules are planned in cooperation with our customers, experts in Forestry, and from our own network of resources. In addition to education, we carry out research work, projects, bachelor`s theses and various forms of consultation for companies and communities.
